The Song The Notes Are Playing

♩ ♫ ♭ ♩ ♫ ♭ ♩ ♫ ♭

Musical notation is gibberish to many. It’s a foreign language that is confusing and pointless. Somebody can hand them an entire book full of chords and charts and it really has no value to them unless it’s first interpreted for them.

But music, music is something almost anyone can appreciate.
Music can make us relax
Music brings us to tears
Fight songs inspire a sports team before a game,
Club jams move us to dance
The right music has the ability to change the entire feel of a room

But this
♩ ♫ ♭ ♩ ♫ ♭ ♩ ♫ ♭
This is nothing.
Unless you get it.

Was reminded in church this morning that for so many people, the Bible is just as confusing. It’s written in a foreign lingo with words that confuse. And the worst part is that hidden within the confusion is the most powerful life changing song we could ever imagine hearing.

Your life has purpose.
You matter to the God who made heaven.
He cares so much that he has made for you and I that he made heaven as a place we could live together forever… and nothing we have ever done disqualifies us from heaven.

All he is looking for is a relationship.
That’s a beautiful song.
Trust me… that’s what’s written in the Bible.
The Bible is not a book of rules, nor is it meant to shame or guilt us.
It’s a love letter.
It’s a perfect song.

If you’ve never been able to read this in the Bible before I’d love play the song for you that the notes were written to play.
