More is Not Better; More is Just More

Does the 2nd helping of a great meal make it a better meal, or just make you feel full?
Does binge watching 6 episodes of a TV show make it better, or is it a time waster?
How many pairs of shoes is enough?
How many decibels at a concert makes it overkill?
What number is “enough” in your savings account?

Too many times we think more is better.
More is not better. More is just more.
There are very few things in life that actually get better by adding more. It really just adds on.

Our society is not good at limiting ourselves.
We over indulge, customize and expand just about anything we can, based on the principle that more of something makes it better.

More makes it harder for us to appreciate what we have.
More makes us selfish.
More encourages us to be wasteful.
More sometimes even ruins things for us.

More is not better, more is just more.
What would change in our world if we focused on being satisfied with great instead of longing for more.
